※1 Once obtain the Certified Care Worker, the applicant can choose the status of residence "nursing care" and can work permanently.
In addition, technical intern trainees who have completed up to the third year are exempted from the examination required for the "Specified Skilled Worker (i)".
(If the status of residence is changed to "Specified Skilled Worker (i)" the maximum period of stay for both technical intern traning and specified technical skill will be 10 years.)
※2 After obtaining the Certified Care Worker, permanent employment will be available. However, if you fail to obtain the qualification within a certain period of time, you will be sent back to your home country.
※3 Family members (spouse and children) can accompany the caregiver after obtaining national certification as a certified care worker .

Specialized Japanese Language Training for Foreign Nursing Care Workers (under a Specified Skilled Worker or Technical Intern Training visa)
Learn the essential communicative skills for the nursing care field—from reading important information and Japanese conversation, to efficient reporting and record-taking!
Participants will study specialized Japanese that is used in nursing care work over the course of three sessions.

Specialized Japanese Language Training for Foreign Nursing Care Workers (e-Learning)
- This program provides training in Japanese language specific for nursing care, and is designed for foreign nursing care workers (under a Specified Skilled Worker or Technical Intern Training visa) employed in Hyogo Prefecture. The program is joinly conducted in Vietnamese, English, and Japanese.

Japanese Proficiency Assessment Seminar for Foreign Caregivers
- Eligibility: Caregiver staff who are aiming to pass the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) in level N2 or N3.

Nursing care skills training for foreign caregivers through e-learning
- Training is provided for foreign caregivers (specified skilled worker and technical intern trainees) working in Hyogo Prefecture to teach caregiving skills and correct caregiving knowledge in a program by using Japanese, Vietnamese, and English together.
Participation fee: Free - Dates: Vietnamese Course: December 2, 9, and 16 in 2024 (Total 3 days)
- English Course January 13, 20, and 27 in 2025 (Total 3 days)
- Training is provided for foreign caregivers (specified skilled worker and technical intern trainees) working in Hyogo Prefecture to teach caregiving skills and correct caregiving knowledge in a program by using Japanese, Vietnamese, and English together.

Employment Assistance Government Grants for the Nursing Care and Disability Welfare Sectors
For those who have completed the care worker induction course, etc. and have been employed or are planning to be employed at offices or facilities for the elderly or the disabled. we provide loans of up to 200,000 yen (no interest free) for the funds necessary for employment (clothing, etc. necessary for employment).
If you work at a nursing care facility in Hyogo Prefecture for two years or more, you will be exempted from paying back the full amount of the loan.

Subsidies for the cost of attendance at the care worker induction course, etc.
For those who have completed the care worker induction course and have been working for three months at offices or facilities for the elderly or the disabled in Kobe City, we will subsidize one-half of the expenses for “the care worker induction course” and “the in-home care worker induction course” up to a maximum of 50,000 yen.

Kobe City Elderly Caregiver Certification System Career Upgrade Support Grant
For those who have passed the Kobe City Elderly Caregiver Certification System and continue to work at nursing care facilities in Kobe City, the Career Development Support Grant (10,000 yen per month) will be provided until they obtain a national qualification as a certified care worker (maximum 5 years).

Government Grants for the cost of undertaking practical training
For those who are undertaking practical traning, have at least three years of work experience (including prospective work experience), and will take the national certified care worker examination in the year for which the loan is granted, a loan of up to 200,000 yen (interest free) will be provided to cover the necessary funds (course fees, materials, etc.) for the practical training.
After obtaining the certified care worker qualification, those who work at a care facility in Hyogo Prefecture for two years or more will be exempted from paying back the full amount of the loan.

Government Grants for welfare high school training fund
The program provides loans of up to 440,000 yen (interest-free) for those who are enrolled in welfare-related high schools and who intend to work as certified care worker at nursing care facilities in Hyogo Prefecture after graduation.
After obtaining the certified care worker qualification, those who work at a care facility in Hyogo Prefecture for three years or longer will be exempted from paying back the full amount of the loan.

Hataraku KOBE support system (rent subsidy)
Single person households under 29 years old who find a job or change jobs in Kobe City and live in an eligible housing unit will receive a monthly support amount of 5,000 yen or 10,000 yen for up to 5 years.
